Apple launch event starts 6pm UK time

Apple website watchers can look forward to the reappearance of the ridiculous ‘back soon’ yellow sticky tonight as Apple ramps up the hype-o-meter to eleven with the expected announcement of their new Slate/iPad/iTablet/iSlate/iWhatever computer.

Even by Apple’s overblown standards, the hype for this one has been ratcheted up to preposterous levels of expectancy, with some anticipating that the new Tablet will turn evil into good, make their football team win forever and guarantee never-ending success with the opposite sex.

Naturally, we’ll be covering events on Wirefresh and casting our critical and cynical eye over events, so check out the times below and tune in – and be sure to add your feedback!

08:00AM – Hawaii
10:00AM – Pacific
11:00AM – Mountain
12:00PM – Central
01:00PM – Eastern
06:00PM – London
07:00PM – Paris
09:00PM – Moscow
03:00AM – Tokyo (January 28th)

And here’s what one wag thinks will be in store:
