Created by two ex-employees of HTC, Kazam is a British handset vendor set to release a rather nice looking Android handset, in the shape of the patriotically named Tornado 348.
Measuring a wafer thin 5.15 mm in Europe, the handset features a 4.8-inch 720p display that comes with a one year replacement guarantee for the screen. Boy do we like that.
The Tornado looks to set up a breeze in the specs department too, packing an octa-core MediaTek MT6592 CPU, backed by 1 GB RAM plus 16 GB internal memory.
The camera line up is a 8 MP rear snapper and 5 MP front shooter, while inside lurks a relatively modest 2,050 mAh battery.
Powered by Android 4.4.2 KitKat, the Tornado shouldn’t make to much of a commotion in your pocket, with its overall dimensions coming in at 139.80 x 67.40 x 5.15 mm.
As Android Central points out those specs do look a little familiar: Kazam’s Tornado 348 is in fact a rebranded version of Gionee’s Elife S5.1, which is hitting the shelves of China and India later this year.
The Tornado is expected to land in the UK in November, available in black and white and priced around £250 ($400).
