T-Mobile UK has unveiled its latest Android handset – the teensy weensy T-Mobile Pulse Mini, running the latest Android 2.1 software.
Offered contract-free for just £99.99, the Pay-As-You-Go Pulse Mini is a slimmed-down version of the T-Mobile Pulse, with the Huawei-manufactured device boasting a 2.8” QVGA touch screen, 3.2 Mega pixel camera with LED Flash and 3.5mm headphone jack.

Tech university ETH University of Zurich, have released AppAware, an interesting new app for the Android platform which tracks downloading trends in the Android Market.
Once installed, the program lets you see what’s hot and what’s not in the Market, displaying the latest stats for apps being installed, updated and removed from users’ handsets.

So cute and tiddly you just might want to give them a lickle hug are the new Sony Ericsson ‘Xperia X10 mini’ and ‘Xperia X10 mini pro’ pint-sized handsets.
Both phones are just about identical apart from the pro version packing a QWERTY keyboard and there being a different selection of colours available at launch.

HP have hooked up with Telefonica to create the Android-powered Airlife 100.
Touted as a ’smartbook’ – that’s a hybrid of a smart phone and a netbook to you – the 10.1-inch touchscreen Airlife will be offered in Europe and Latin America with a carrier subsidy as part of as Telefonica’s mobile broadband service (so it’ll be on o2 in the UK).

The videos detailing the development of Google’s Nexus One Android-handset handset are are coming in thick and fast, with the penultimate part for the five part series being slapped up on the web over the weekend.
This time, Google is showing off the high-tech manufacturing plant used by the handset makers HTC, following the various stages of manufacture right up to the part where the handset gets lovingly boxed up and ready to be mailed off.

Packing an almighty 8MP camera and coming in (ooo-err) ‘Sensuous Black’ and ‘Luster White’, the 3G handset packs a 4″ 480 x 854 pixels 65k colour TFT touchscreen, Bluetooth 2.1, Wi-Fi, aGPS and 1 GB internal storage (384 MB RAM) and a microSD slot supporting cards up to 16GB.

Mobile bloggers toting Android phones should be chuffed to discover that WordPress is now available in the Android Market.
The new app has been based on the popular wpToGo app, which has been used as the foundation for the WordPress app.
The old wpToGo app will now be unceremoniously shunted off into a disused branch line and left to rust away, while all the development efforts will focus on the the Open Source WordPress for Android app project.

Michael Dell, Lord King Emperor of all things Dell, was hunted down by the TechCrunch team who persuaded him to slip them a glimpse of the eagerly awaited Dell Mini 5 tablet.
Looking well chuffed and cheery as he scuttled en route to the World Economic Forum in Switzerland, Supreme Being Dell gave the camera crew a quick peek of the Android-powered device, swishing through four home screens with gay abandon.
