LG Electronics (LG) have announced the launch of their ultra-thin premium mobile PC, the LG X300 and it’s a rather sleek and stylish looking number.
Their new “flagship mobile computing device,” the LG X300 weighs a mere 970g and is wafer thin at just 17.5mm thick .

We guess we’ll be seeing a lot more of this as Apple unleash their enormous advertising budget to persuade us about the joys of their latest product, the iPad.
Their first iPad TV commercial debuted during a break in the 82nd Annual Academy Awards and serves up a 30 second demo showing the tablet device doing its thing.

We’re more stoked up than a Great Western Railway King Class 4-6-0 steam locomotive when it comes to Microsoft’s hotly rumoured Courier tablet/digital journal, so we were well chuffed when more details emerged over the weekend.
Tech site Engadget posted up what it says are a selection of leaked images and a video, and it looks like the device is building up a healthy head of steam – and it’s smaller than we expected too.

After the Wirefresh offices were hit by a catastrophic BT outage last night – we’re looking at being disconnected for at least four days while their technicians work out how to rewire a plug (or something) – we found ourselves scrambling around for our Internet fix.

HP have hooked up with Telefonica to create the Android-powered Airlife 100.
Touted as a ’smartbook’ – that’s a hybrid of a smart phone and a netbook to you – the 10.1-inch touchscreen Airlife will be offered in Europe and Latin America with a carrier subsidy as part of as Telefonica’s mobile broadband service (so it’ll be on o2 in the UK).

It’s had a bit of a tricky birth, but the JooJoo internet tablet looks set to start shipping soon in the States.
Formerly known as the CrunchPad , the $499 JooJoo features a 12.1″ multi-touch capacitive display, with an iPad-thumping resolution of 1366 x 768, plus a front-facing camera and support for Flash content. Take that iPad!

Clearly hoping to scoop up some of that frenzied iPad buzz, UK company X2 Computing has launched their own “iTablet” range of Windows/Linux-based tablet PCs.
Described as coming “hot on the heels of Apple’s latest product launch,” X2 claims “the iTablet will revolutionise the way that Windows users can access and use data on the move”.

It seems that users of the current batch of eReaders are a very happy lot indeed, with new research by the NPD Group finding that almost all e-reader owners are either “very satisfied” or “somewhat satisfied” with their devices.
The report found satisfaction levels running at a hefty 93 per cent, with just 2 per cent of owners declaring themselves dissatisfied with their eReader.

It’s still under development and not expected out until the second half of this year, but Lenovo ’s U1 Tablet/PC Hybrid has already got us a lot more excited than Apple’s frankly underwhelming iPad offering.
Showcased at CES earlier this month, the tablet packs everything you’d need from a fully functioning tablet PC – touchscreen, full multitasking, automatic screen orientation, 3G, Wi-Fi, onboard camera etc, but comes with a very clever twist: it can clip into a special shell to become a full Windows 7 laptop with a proper keyboard.
