Launched in the US last year, the voice-command system has some clever tricks up its sleeve, letting you fire off an SMS message, ring  contacts, get directions, go to websites and more, just by blathering into your Android device.

The updated Voice Actions is compatible with Android 2.2 devices and above, and users can get in on the voice action by holding down a search button, tapping the homescreen microphone button (or loading up the app) and then barking one of these seven commands into their handsets:

send text to [contact] [message]
call [business]
call [contact]
go to [website]
navigate to [location/business name]
directions to [location/business name]
map of [location]
