If you fancy some car-jacking, gun blasting, tyre burning adventure on your iPhone but the wallet is a little light, then head off to the AppStore and bag yourself a free copy of GTA: Chinatown Wars Lite.

The freebie gives mobile gamers a decent flava of the Nintendo DS smash hit offering, packing three fully playable games, with players taking on the role of the game’s anti-hero Huang Lee.

It’s a bit fiddly to play – no matter how good the graphics are on an iPhone, we’ll always miss proper dedicated hardware gaming controls – but it’ll certainly help you pass away a long wait at a remote bus stop.

The developers are no doubt hoping that you’ll love the game so much, you’ll soon be out on the streets and car-jacking your neighbourhood to earn the £5.99 required for the full game.
