Luna 5 Encore – alien shaped iPod dock by Edifier
We’ve lost count of the weird and wonderful iPod docks we’ve seen released, and the new Luna 5 Encore iPod dock is certainly curiouser than most.
Looking like an alien head from Mars Attacks!, the Luna 5 Encore from Edifier is one big mutha to have sat on your desk, with the dome-like structure packing a 5 driver speaker system incorporating a 32-watt sub and four 20 watts drivers.
These, apparently, offer “unique vibration and resonance control technologies coupled with low frequency porting and mid-range tuned cavities for smoother cleaner audio.”
Designed for iPods, iPhones and other MP3 players, the Luna 5 is available in white or black and is looking to invade large desktops near you.
Showcased at this years CES, the Luna also also comes with a built in FM radio and the whole domey caboodle will set you back around £150 on Amazon

Some of those docks are well over the top. I’d prefer to by a decent mini fi system.
