Microsoft gets cosy with Family Guy to plug Windows 7

In an unlikely hook up, Microsoft has teamed up with Fox Television and the Family Guy’s
creator, executive producer and main voiceover dude, Seth MacFarlane, to create a 30-minute variety special titled “Family Guy Presents: Seth & Alex’s Almost Live Comedy Show.”

Due to screened on the fox Network in the US on November 8th at 8:30 PM, the special will feature a mix of live-action, original animation, some of the best “Family Guy” musical numbers and what Fox is describing as  “surprise celebrity guests.”

Helping MacFarlane to present the show will be co-star and writer Alex Borstein, who is the voice of Lois in the series.

We can’t see any obvious humour-laden synergy between the Family Guy and Windows 7, but we’ll at least congratulate Microsoft on their taste: it’s one of our favourite cartoons on TV.
