Microsoft Zune Phone “to debut next month”

Microsoft Zune Phone 'to debut next month'Spanish blog MuyComputer is insisting that Microsoft will be pulling the velvet rope and unveiling the “Zune Phone” next month.

The blog’s editorial director Javier Pérez Cortijo has confidently claimed that “the Zune Phone presentation at Barcelona’s Mobile World Congress 2010 is 100% confirmed.”

The phone is said to run Windows Mobile 7 with Zune software, and will reportedly come with a 480 x 272 pixels screen, HDMI video out, and weigh around 2.45 ounces (70 grams).

The blog states that the Zune Phone (we prefer ‘Zhone’. Or maybe ‘PhoZo’) will be using an Nvidia Tegra chip, with the chip company hitting the stage with Microsoft for a high-fiving joint presentation.

No one actually knows what the phone is going to look like – or if it exists for sure – so the image above is nothing more than a nice shiny mock up.

We’re not totally convinced about this rumour to be honest, so if it turns out to be a wrong ‘un, be sure to give ol’ Javier Pérez Cortijo a clip around his maracas.
