The dual core Samsung Galaxy S II continues to be Britain’s most popular smartphone, once again outselling the Apple iPhone 4, according to new figures from uSwitch Mobile Tracker.

The stats show the Samsung Galaxy S II outselling the iPhone 4 for the third month in a row, while batting off a host of wannabe winers from the likes of HTC and Blackberry.

Samsung recently announced that the Galaxy S II had shifted more than 5 million units in its opening 85 days, and with the phone still to be released in the US, this could one of the all-time big selling smartphones.

Three Samsungs in the Top Ten

“The Samsung Galaxy S II deservedly remains on top for yet another month,” technology boffin at uSwitch.com Ernest Doku commented, adding, “The Korean manufacturer also celebrates further success with two more models in the Mobile Tracker’s top 10.”

The original Samsung Galaxy S managed to bag third place in June, with the Samsung Galaxy Ace moving up five places to secure the ninth spot.

The only phone from RIM to hit the top ten was the BlackBerry Curve 8520, which managed fifth place.
