We’re still stoked to the max with Swype’s incredible ability to convert our wayward finger tracks into propah English, but another contender for best Android keyboard is rocking into town in the shape of Swiftkey.

50% better!

Apparently two years in development, a beta version of SwiftKey is ready for your downloading pleasure on the Android Market, with the company claiming up to 50% greater text entry efficiency than other market solutions.

The British based company say that next words are predicted “with such incredible accuracy that a third of suggestions are right first time and usually you won’t need to press more than two letters.”

The app uses uses advanced error correction and learns as you type with the built in ‘Fluency engine’ claiming to create a “dynamic understanding of your writing style to boost the accuracy, fluency and speed of prediction.”

There’s support for US/UK English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Dutch, Portuguese and Swedish languages, and with a current price of nuppence, it’s got to be worth a look.
