Microsoft's IE9 browser ratchets up 27 downloads per second

Released on Monday, it looks like Microsoft’s Internet Explorer 9 is off to a flying start, with the company reporting that the new browser was downloaded 2.35 million times in the first 24 hours it was available.

Google Chrome shimmies past Safari in the USLike Billy Whizz on a bag of Columbian marching powder, Google’s internet browser Chrome has zipped past Apple’s Safari for the first time in the US to grab third place in the browser market.
