Unfeasibly slim Motorola RAZR slicing into the UK on 1st November

Set to charge into European stores this October is Motorola’s Pro+ Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) handset, packing enough QWERTY to keep Blackberry fans in keyboard heaven.

Expected to come rampaging out into the open this autumn is the beefy, Android-powered Motorola Defy+ handset, sporting a rugged, upgraded design and an all-weather attitude.

Google has just announced that is is acquiring Motorola Mobility for approximately $12.5 billion (or $40 per share), in cash.

It’s a curious thing alright, but for reasons best known to themselves, Motorola decided to release their Xoom Android tablet with a microSD card slot that just lay there doing nothing.
Any attempt to introduce it to a card would be met with indifference. This was one tablet that simply wasn’t interested in your steenkin’ microSD.

As cheap as chips yet still packing a half-decent feature set is Motorola’s new uber-budget, festival-friendly handset, the Motorola Wilder.

Motorola has confirmed that their Android Honeycomb-based 10.1in Xoom tablet will be shimmying on to UK shop shelves next week.

For one of the largest electrical retailers in the UK, you’d think that taking care of the simple things like putting the right price on new products would be pretty much second nature by now, but it seems that for the buffoons at PC World even that was too much.

Anyone with half a brain knows that to tempt users away from the all conquering iPad, you’ve got to offer a cheaper, equally capable alternative, and Motorola’s highly spec’d Xoom is doing just that and more, and is being offered at a very reasonable £450 for the Wi-Fi only model.

Known as the Droid Pro in foreign climes, Motorola has announced that it’s bringing its business focused Motorola PRO to Europe and description it as “A Work Phone Worth Taking Home”.
