Owners of phones in the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 range will surely be chuffed to learn that by the last quarter of the year all the handsets will be upgraded to the Android 2.1 (aka “Eclair”) operating system
All three phones in the XPERIA X10 family – that’s the the X10, X10 mini and X10 mini Pro — will be eligible for the upgrade, with the added bonus of the X10′s 8.1 megapixel camera getting the ability to record videos in HD.
So cute and tiddly you just might want to give them a lickle hug are the new Sony Ericsson ‘Xperia X10 mini’ and ‘Xperia X10 mini pro’ pint-sized handsets.
Both phones are just about identical apart from the pro version packing a QWERTY keyboard and there being a different selection of colours available at launch.
A hands on video has been posted up showing Sony Ericsson’s new candybar Aspen handset (also known as the Sony Ericsson Faith) in action.
Sporting a screen shinier than the beady eye of the Shiny Eyed Eagle, the Aspen runs the all-new Windows Mobile 6.5.3 mobile operating system.

They’re keeping schtum on the dates and specific dates, but Sony Ericsson’s Xperia X10 Android handset will be lapping up on the shores of Vodafone UK April.
Packing an almighty 8MP camera and coming in (ooo-err) ‘Sensuous Black’ and ‘Luster White’, the 3G handset packs a 4″ 480 x 854 pixels 65k colour TFT touchscreen, Bluetooth 2.1, Wi-Fi, aGPS and 1 GB internal storage (384 MB RAM) and a microSD slot supporting cards up to 16GB.

Looking suitably business-like and packing Microsoft’s brand new, all finger friendly Windows Mobile 6.5.3 mobile operating system is the Sony Ericsson Aspen (also known as the Sony Ericsson Faith).
Clad in moody black and ready to strike a pose in the boardroom, the Aspen candybar handset packs a full QWERTY keyboard for rattling off super-important businessy emails and sports a 2.4-inch QVGA TFT touchscreen LCD (that works out as 320 × 240 pixel resolution if you’re not hip to the acronyms).
Falling off the ugly tree and hitting just about every branch, twig and nut on the way down before landing in a juicy, wet cowpat is Sony Ericsson’s new Elm and Hazel handsets.
Part of their environmentally friendly ‘Greenheart’ range, both phones ship with the GreenHeart Stereo Portable HPM-60J personal handsfree kit.
The handsets sport 5 megapixel auto focus cameras, onboard Wi-Fi and GPS receivers with Google Maps and Wisepilot mapping applications preinstalled.
They may be late to the Android party, but Sony Ericsson are bringing along armfuls of goodies in the shape of their XPERIA X10 handset.
Powered by a 1GHz Snapdragon chip from Qualcomm, the XPERIA packs a 4-inch, 480 x 854 pixels capacitive touch display, running the deliciously alluring Rachael Android UI, with an almighty 8.1 megapixel camera lobbed on the back.
We thought the notion of ‘motion activated’ headphones was a classic piece of pointless technology for pointless technology’s sake, but we’re beginning to warm to the idea.

The idea is pretty simple: with your earbuds in you can listen to music as normal, but if you pull one side out, the music automatically pauses without the need to fiddle about with buttons or go scrambling into your bag looking for your phone.
