Belkin FastFit wireless Bluetooth iPad min keyboard/case claims to be the thinnest

The iPad Mini keyboard cases are coming in thick and fast at the moment, and Belkin have just joined the party, announcing their  new, super-slim wireless keyboard/case combo.

At just 7mm thick, the folks at Belkin say that their FastFit keyboard cover is the thinnest and lightest Bluetooth wireless keyboard to be found anywhere on the planet – and it’s even thinner than Logitech’s ‘Ultrathin’ number.

Along with all its rivals, the keyboard case magnetically attaches to the side of the iPad and comes with  Apple’s “auto-wake” feature which automatically turns on the screen when the cover is opened.

Belkin like to brag about the battery life, saying that their keyboard can last  for 155 hours of active use on one charge, thanks to its 200mAh battery and low-power Bluetooth 3.0 connection.

“Though the FastFit provides a laptop-like typing experience, it’s a far cry from a bulky laptop computer,” opined Jamie Elgie, senior director of product management at Belkin.

“Built with anodized aircraft-grade aluminum, the case is ideal for travel or typing on the go. Secure-hold magnets snap the keyboard onto the iPad mini for easy carrying without the added weight,” he continued.

If you like the sound of this new Belkin’s FastFit Bluetooth keyboard, it’ll be available for $79.99 and available for pre-order sometime ‘soon’.
