Sony continues to cascade Cyber-shot cameras on to consumers, and ready to join the queue of  mid-range priced cameras hoping to get wallets a-twitching is the new Cyber-shot DSC-HX7V.

Stuffed full with no less than 16.2 megapixels of Exmor R CMOS image sensor goodness, the camera comes with Optical SteadyShot image stabilisation, and can snap 3D still images.

Video skillz comes in the shape of built-in support for HD 1080/60i AVCHD video recording.

Available for pre-order in a range of purdy-as-a-picture colours like blue, white, black and pink, the Cyber-shot DSC-HX7V snappers should knock out for around $300 and be available in the UK from mid March .
