Wacom has thrown out the Bamboo Splash, an entry-level member of its Bamboo family of pen tablets, retailing for just $79.

Although it sounds like an exciting cocktail, the Bamboo Splash is in fact billed as, “the ideal tool to use when creating art or drawing digitally on your computer,” and comes bundled with a  pressure-sensitive pen and a creative software bundle.

The cheapo tablet works with Mac and PC operating systems – and the forthcoming Microsoft Windows 8 OS.
