Apple iPod nano: smaller, lighter and now with touchscreen

Looking so cute you almost want to pat it on its head is the new iPod nano, which has just been announced this evening.
Pint sized
The 6th generation iPod nano has undergone a huge redesign to emerge as a slick, multitouch enabled pint-sized player, with the iconic clickwheel nowhere to be seen.
Apple say that the new iPod nano is 46 percent smaller and 42 percent lighter than its tiny predecessor, and despite the glossy screen, the device can motor on for a full 24 hours of audio playback.
Volume adjustments can be made courtesy of hardware buttons on the side and the wee fella will be available in seven different colours ( including a Product RED option).
US prices have been set at $149 for 8GB of storage and $179 for 16GB, with pre-orders ready to be taken now.
