Chris Hadfield – the man with the finest moustache this side of the 1970s – has taken some incredible photos of the Earth while he’s been whizzing above in the International Space Station, and here he explains his photographic techniques.
Whipping out a high-end Nikon SLR with a monster zoom, Chris explains the three basics of his space photography – Focus, Frame and Fire! – explaining that for most photos he sets the aperture to f16 and changes the ISO speed to suit (it’s usually ‘around the ISO 200 mark’).
The photos are amazing, and the video clip below provides an interesting insight into what it’s like shooting in space.
