O2 has announced that it will be offering HTC’s new BREW-based smartphone, the HTC Smart, running the company’s natty Sense user interface on top of Qualcomm’s Brew mobile platform.
Available in three colours - pink, white and black – the Smart is aimed at the budget end of smartphone market, but comes with a fairly respectable spec sheet, including a 2.8-inch touchscreen with QVGA resolution, a leisurely 300MHz processor, 256MB of ROM and RAM.

Taiwanese handset maker HTC has unveiled no less than three brand spanking new smartphones.
Be prepared to doff your cap in the direction of the HTC Legend and Desire (both running Google’s Android operating system), and the HTC HD Mini, which opts to embrace the wonderful world of Windows Mobile.

Tech twitterers went totally ape over the weekend as details of what is said to an interesting new handset from Google leaked out.
Followed up by the usual blurry photo of what looks like a fairly standard HTC-style handset, it seems that “tons” of Google employees have been given these phones.
A few have apparently gone on to show it off to their pals and drawn admiring glances with one calling it, “Like an iPhone on beautifying steroids.”

There’s certainly be no shortage of interest in HTC’s big hitting HD2 handset, and Vodafone have just announced that they will be carrying the iPhone rival.
The Windows Mobile smartphone will be available for free on lengthy 2-year contracts/£35 per month deals, rising to £40 per month if you need more bundled minutes.
If the thought of being tied to one phone and one network for two years of your life is giving you the heebeegeebees, then you can sign up for an 18-month contract at £40 per month, or fork out an extra fiver for more free chat time.

We ran a piece last week previewing one of the early reviews for the Windows Mobile-powered HTC Touch HD2 handset, and the folks at Gizmodo have just posted their thoughts.
The review starts in glowing terms, with the Touch HD2 being described as, ” the nicest phone in the world …ostentatiously huge and amazingly slim …business-savvy and utterly pornographic.”
The praise continues to flow freely as the HTC’s delightfully constructed lines are lovingly admired and the nippy Sense UI praised for delivering the goods with gusto.

Mega mobile manufacturer HTC has started a promotional blitz for its range of smartphones, and they’re rather slick affairs too.
Designed to tie in with the video campaign is their first print advert, which, as you can see, insists that HTC phones are ones that ‘get you’ (but not, we trust, as in: “O0000oooh! Get you!“).

After a bout of synergistic backslapping, Spotify and the mobile network 3 have announced a deal to bundle subscriptions to the music streaming service with the HTC Hero handset.
From November 2009, 3 will be offering the HTC Hero with a two year Spotify Premium account, giving customers unlimited access to the service on their phone, leaving them free to gorge on 3,333 tracks downloaded to the phone every month.

HTC has officially launched the HD2, a glossy, sumptuous delight of a smartphone featuring a truly stunning interface.
It’s hard to believe, but lurking under those glossy sheets of goodness is the beastly Windows Mobile 6.5 OS, but HTC have done such a magnificent job you’d barely know it’s there.
The spec sheet is positively dreamy too, with a massive 4.3″ WVGA (480 X 800 pixels) capacitive display, with the handset powered by a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, backed by 512MB ROM / 448MB RAM and a microSD card slot.

Previously known by its codename Whitestone, the HTC Imagio is a Windows Mobile 6.5 device with a fairly upmarket spec sheet.
The phone has yet to be officially released, but the reckless folks at wirelesszone.com have gone right ahead and slammed up a lengthy video on YouTube demonstrating its capabilities.

The Huawei-manufactured handset sports a 3.5-inch HVGA touchscreen, with T-Mobile and Huawei working together to create a ‘ Canvas’ home screen.
