It’s been a long time since we’ve seen one of these, but YouTube has now been down for far longer than the 30 seconds that its error page reports.

We’re wondering what might have caused such a big site to come tumbling down…

Update: It’s back – huzzah! – but there’s no explanation in the YouTube blog yet.

Update 2 (10:32 GMT): It’s back down again, with the site now showing this strange page of gibberish:
