With speculation about Apple’s soon-to-be-announced new product sending fanboys and tech bloggers into squeaky orgasms of expectant delight, McGraw-Hill’s CEO appears to have coughed up some details about the forthcoming (guffaw) ‘Messiah Tablet.’
In an interview with CNBC, Terry McGraw confirms that their textbooks will be available on the Apple Tablet and it will be an iPhone OS based machine (2m 50s into the clip below).
“Yeah, Very exciting. Yes, they’ll make their announcement tomorrow on this one. We have worked with Apple for quite a while. And the Tablet is going to be based on the iPhone operating system and so it will be transferable. So what you are going to be able to do now — we have a consortium of e-books. And we have 95% of all our materials that are in e-book format on that one. So now with the tablet you’re going to open up the higher education market, the professional market. The tablet is going to be just really terrific.”
Meanwhile, all sorts of ‘leaked photos’ claiming to show the shape of the anticipated new tablet computer have been circulating around the web.
These two below look the most credible, although we won’t know for sure until 7pm today (Weds 27th) when Apple make their official announcement.
Naturally, we’ll be posting up updates and news from the announcement as soon as get them.
