Facebook has just announced that it’s rolling out an increase in the maximum image sizes allowed for photo updates.
Promised back at the end of January, the increase brushes aside the previous image limitation of 604 pixels and elevates it to the heady heights of 720 pixels.
Bigger mug shots! More balloons!
It’s not exactly the most generous increase we’ve seen – just 20 per cent in fact – but now you’ll be able to see even bigger photos of drunken mates, vomiting pals, gurning chums and other such delights to be found in most users’ photo albums.
Get ready to de-tag!
Images already uploaded won’t enjoy an increase in size though – they’ll still be restricted to the previous 604 pixel size.
