Amazon seem keen to slap down what they see as the Apple iPad’s inabilities as an eReader, broadcasting a new TV advert in the States highlighting the tablet’s shortcomings.
The advert shows off the superiority of the Amazon Kindle when it comes to reading eBooks in direct sunlight, with a man and a woman sat poolside reading books on their iPad and Kindle respectively.
We see the man struggling to get read the text on his iPad’s highly reflective screen, and he asks the woman how she’s managing to read her book “in this light.”
“It’s a Kindle,” she giggles, adding, “…139 dollars. I actually paid more for these sunglasses.”
We’d love to be telling you more about our Kindle, but the useless clots at Royal Mail have contrived to lose our ruddy package.
