Five years ago to the day, YouTube founder Jawed Karim posted an indescribably dull video of himself at a zoo on banging on about ‘cool elephants’.

The 19-second clip was the first ever video uploaded to YouTube, and in just five years it’s become the third most popular website in the world (behind Google and Facebook), with over a billion videos streamed every day by users around the world.

We were going to show you that first video, but watching this Conservative Party parody is far more fun:

This type of thing has been done to death. The ‘Tory toff’ line was tried in Crewe and Nantwich, it was tried with Boris.

It’s boring, dull, unimaginative. You Tube has some great videos, but this ain’t one.

You’re right, satire, it’s so last century…… not!

I suppose whether you find this particular strain of satire funny depends on which side of the fence you’re sitting on – quite obvious which camp you’re in oswaldtwist.

With regards to “done to death” – god help us when poking fun at rich people goes out of fashion.
