ASUS has announced that the rather Android 4.1 update – also known as Jelly Bean – will be coming to their line of rather splendid Transformer tablets-cum-notebooks.
The company say that Transformer Pad, Transformer Prime and forthcoming Transformer Pad Infinity tablets are all scheduled to receive the Jelly Bean update, although the time-scale is frustratingly described as being “in the coming months.”
Owners of the original Transformer and Transformer Slide are going to be left out of the upgrade party, although ASUS does throw them a possible lifeline, commenting that it is “still investigating Jelly Bean updates for other devices, but we are not in a position to confirm whether any other products will be eligible for an update at the moment.”
Here’s the full ASUS’s press release.
