Motorola has updated its hugely popular budget-priced Moto G smartphone, with the 2015 model packing a 5-inch display, all-day battery, waterproofing and a 13 megapixel camera.

Purring along on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 1.4GHz processor with 1GB or 2GB of RAM options, the Moto G will come in two flavours offering 8GB or 16GB storage and run the latest Android 5.1.1 Lollipop.

Both models will offer a microSD card slots for further expansion.

The display is a 5-inch 720p HD 294ppi Corning Gorilla Glass 3 screen,  with the handset coming with a front facing 5 megapixel f2.2 camera, a sizeable 2470 mAh battery and 4G connectivity.

Optional Motorola Shells let users customise the look of the phone, with IPX7 water resistance meaning that it’s a phone that’s not afraid of the water.

The Moto G will launch in more than 60 countries throughout North America, Latin America, Europe and Asia Pacific starting from today.

The phone will also be available through UK carriers including Three, 02, Vodafone and BT Business and other retailers and e-tailers, with a starting price of £159.
