Released just last week, the budget Android 2.3-powered slate measures up at 9.1mm thin and has a pretty decent spec sheet too, packing a 9.7inch multi-touch screen serving up a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels.

Here’s Viewsonic to froth a bit about their new cheapo baby:

The ViewPad 10e integrates into the world around it. With Micro USB, Mini HDMI, Wireless B/G/N connectivity and Bluetooth 3.0 all built seamlessly and discreetly into the ViewPad 10e, the possibilities are infinite. Watch movies via the HDMI 720p output, stream audio to your car via Bluetooth or just surf the internet at your leisure.

Running a 1GHz Cortex A8 CPU and 4GB of DDR3 memory, the ViewPad 10e may well prove an affordable alternative to the all-conquering iPad, although we’ll wait for the customer reviews to come in before recommending it to anyone.

  1. I have just got one from Argos for £200.00.
    What you get:-
At first it looks & feels a lot like and IPad one.
The screen Res & graphics smooth & fast, Apps are what you need to start with, its shipped with Android Ver.2.3, Wi-Fi & Bluetooth
It is easy to set up and go but it will need a bit of tweaking over the weeks to come in general well built & worth the money
It has a on board men of 2gb a Micro SD that will take up to 64mb a Micro USB, Head phones socket, side Mic, Mini HDMI Out, & side volume buttons
The usb cable that they supply mini USB to standard Male USB, so you can connect to a PC via USB.
Note you will need a Female to Female USB connector if you wish to USB HDD or Pen stick
( Note this is not supplied )
To round up if you got £200.00 & you are look to get a tablet then have a look at one
I will give it 8 out of 10 for all round response, performance & price.

  2. @Bob can you get andorid market place on this? Are there any videos around to have a look at? Can’t find much on this tablet anywhere!!

  3. Just bought viewpad 10e today,it had to be christmas present for my wife. But I found some problems with it. Few specifications do not match real product. As should be 4GB internal memory, but really it is 2GB,microSD has support up to 32GB, my 16GB card can`t read at all, should have few apps to work with android as skype etc. but it doesn`t and even you can`t download it or buy it from android market, bcs this product is not supportet with any apps.

Mobilemarket installed is for fun as well. I downloaded and installed few apps from there, but the are not working properly. One more fun with this etab, says sometimes SIMcard slot empty, but it has not any SIMcard slot at all.

Only good point of this device is really nice display with 3D view and web browsing working good, thats all. Think I`m ready to return it back to Argos 2morrow.
