What better way for 2009 to be celebrated online than by a YouTube video made on Google Wave and produced by an interactive design company who clearly hope that the thing will go viral and boost their profile.
The video runs through the big events of 2009 (from a US perspective, so there’s no mention of – cough! – any of Cardiff City FC’s great victories), starting at the heroic crash landing by Pilot Sully Sullenberg of a passenger plane on the Hudson River and ending with a clip of Barack Obama.
Hurtling along at high speed, the video provides an entertaining overview of the year, even if most people will still end up being slightly scared of Google Wave by the end.
