Brizzly ‘social media reader’ for your Facebook and Twitter needs

Brizzly 'social media reader' for your Facebook and Twitter needs

If you like to have all your Facebook and Twitter activity streams all shuffled together in one nice easy-to-use package, then say hello to Brizzly, a new ‘social media reader’ vying for your attention.

The program lets you view Twitter photos and videos in-line, it expands bit.ly links so you can see what you’re clicking on and it also supports Twitter lists and photo uploading.

You can also ‘like’ and comment on friend’s posts in Facebook with more functionality promised soon.

Until recently it was an invite-only job, but now they’ve flung their doors wide open and allowed all and sundry in.

The product is still in beta, so the company will be “continuing to experiment as usual,” but with a team including Jason Shellen, who worked at Blogger with Evan Williams, and Chris Wetherell – the dude behind Google Reader – we can expect interesting things.

  1. Tried this and wasn’t that impressed. Was a bit too slow; not sure being able to update both Twitter and Facebook in one place is a big sell tbh…
