Google invites you to 'paint your browser' for the World Cup

God dang it if the whole world isn’t going football crazy, with the internet recording its busiest day ever and popular sites like Twitter falling over themselves to get a slab of the footie action.

Google is now inviting users to “show their team pride” and “paint” their browser and homepage in their team colours, courtesy of a collection of World Cup themed Google Chrome themes and iGoogle themes.

And there’s more, with their World Cup page suggesting that fans could use Google Maps to find a great place nearby to watch the matches with  friends, check out the stadiums in 3D and “go right inside with Street View,” and find updates on Google search via their World Cup schedule and Group C standings.
