It’s all well and good telling the world you’re about to pop down the road to get some fags or that your toilet cistern isn’t working, but when it comes to knocking out interesting Tweets, Flight engineer Soichi Noguchi has got it nailed.

No cute pictures of his sleeping puddy tat for this guy: instead he’s treating us to some sensational shots captured from the International Space Station, floating high above the planet.

The astronaut is using Twitpic to fire down beautiful shots of Earth, and making us feel pretty inadequate about the quality of our Tweets in the process.

Pictured above is Mount Fuji, at 3,776m the highest mountain in Japan, and below is an abstract-looking view of the Maldives Islands in the Indian Ocean.
