Telecoms firm Orange has launched its vrey own App Shop, which is available now for over-the-air downloads to around one million customers in the UK and France.
The App Shop serves up a total of 5,000 applications, games, ringtones and wallpapers (we’re not sure how that’s broken down in terms of apps) – a figure that will no doubt grow swiftly.

Perfect for anyone rocking a Marty Hopkirk look, the none-more-white handset will be released to the Japan market via NTT DoCoMo, and made available on December 3rd in time for an extra white Christmas.

An excitable bloke can be seen raving about the Seesmic Twitter mobile client which has just been released for the Android and BlackBerry platforms.
The interface seems straightforward enough, with four buttons giving access to Twitter timelines, replies, direct messages or profile views.
Clicking on a tweet lets you to reply, DM reply or retweet, and there’s the option to add location information when you post up your latest 140 character missive, along with a photo or video, if you so desire.

Last year’s Blackberry Bold proved a big hit for RIM, helping the company shake off their swivel-action, corporate-only associations and open up the platform to regular consumers looking for a solid, fully featured smartphone.
Their new update (or “product refresh” as some ghastly PR types like to call these things) is the Blackberry Bold 9700, an altogether slimmer, lighter and rather sleeker affair which shaves off 16g in weight, and reduces the overall dimensions by 6mm in width, 5mm in height and a pocket celebrating 0.9mm in girth.

T-Mobile has unlocked the holding pen and unleashed the shiny Blackberry Bold 9700, which is now roaming free amongst the bits and bytes of their online store.
Casting off its original Onyx moniker, the Bold 9700 boasts a larger 480 x 360 pixel display (up from the 480 x 320 of its 9000 predecessor), and measures up at a pocket-pleasing 109m x 60mm x 14.1mm.

The BBC has announced that it’s slapped backs and high five’d the folks at Stitcher.com to cut a deal to make the content of its World Service available to users of the mobile phone-based application.
The BBC World Service said that the corporation will “provide a selection of English language podcasts, with programming such as Global News, Digital Planet, Global Arts & Entertainment and Africa Today.”

‘Underwhelming’ would be the best word to describe Blackberry’s first stab at a touchscreen phone, the Storm, which proved a wildly disappointing beast.
Suitably chastised by consumers who failed to warm to the clunky handset and its onsceen keyboard, Blackberry are back with the Storm2 (model 9520) and it’s looking like a much better device,.
