Since releasing the Chrome for Mac beta browser at the end of last year, Google’s techie bods have been busy bunging in new features, and have today decided to share their latest version of their free browser with the Apple world.
Their new update of Chrome for Mac now packs extensions, bookmark sync, and the ability to install any of over 2,200 extensions currently available in Chrome’s extensions gallery.

Boosted by an expensive advertising campaign which included full size billboard posters (the London tube’s plastered with ‘em), newspaper, magazine and TV adverts, Google’s Chrome browser has overtaken Apple’s Safari for the first time.

Google has unveiled more details of its Linux-based, open-source operating system, Chrome OS, a super fast, browser-based operating system for netbooks.
Promising near-instant boot times of around 7 seconds, all applications will run exclusively inside the browser with Sundar Pichai, VP of product management at Google, explaining that they expect the Chrome OS to be “blazingly fast … to boot up like a TV.”
